Global medical artificial intelligence (AI) company AIDOT announced that it will conduct a Proof of Concept (PoC) for its AI-powered cervical cancer diagnosis system with Hue Central Hospital in Vietnam, accelerating its expansion into the Southeast Asian digital healthcare market.

On August 7, AIDOT announced that it successfully participated in the Korea–Vietnam Digital Health Conference, held at Hue Central Hospital, where it signed an agreement to conduct a PoC for its AI medical solution, delivered a technical presentation, and took part in an expert panel discussion.

The symposium was jointly hosted by the Gangwon State Government, the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), and Hue Central Hospital. More than 300 participants—including representatives from the healthcare authorities, medical institutions, and IT companies of both Korea and Vietnam—attended the event, which was organized to establish a practical framework for bilateral cooperation in the field of medical AI.

During the event, AIDOT officially announced that it would carry out a PoC of its AI-powered cervical cancer diagnosis system, Cerviray AI, at Hue Central Hospital.

In the technical presentation session, Hansol Choi, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of AIDOT's AI Research Institute, delivered a presentation titled "Development and Clinical Applications of an AI Cervical Cancer Diagnosis System." Dr. Choi introduced the advancement of AIDOT's proprietary AI clinical algorithms as well as the company's successful deployments in international healthcare settings, drawing significant interest from local medical professionals and attendees.

During the panel discussion, Jaehoon Jung, CEO of AIDOT, emphasized the importance of rigorous clinical validation, stating:

"Based on Korea's high-quality clinical data and proven clinical suitability, it is essential to conduct close collaboration and validation with local hospitals in Vietnam. If companies distort or misrepresent domestic clinical results under the pretext of export, leading to poor-quality or fraudulent clinical evidence, it would seriously damage not only the credibility of individual companies but also the reputation of Korea's entire medical AI industry and its overseas clinical validation initiatives."

He further added:

"AIDOT is committed to providing high-quality AI technology that fully meets the needs of Vietnam's healthcare environment through transparent and thoroughly validated domestic and international clinical evaluation processes."

Cerviray AI is an AI-based solution that analyzes cervical images in real time, enabling rapid and accurate detection of cervical cancer and precancerous cervical lesions.
