Cerviray AI Medical Solution Proves Unrivaled Technological Prowess

Medical device companies from the Gangwon region, which participated in a medical device exhibition in Vietnam with the support of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and the Gangwon Techno Park (hereinafter Gangwon TP), are showcasing their outstanding technological capabilities locally and accelerating the expansion of their global sales channels.

In particular, at this exhibition, 'Aidot', a specialized artificial intelligence (AI)-based medical solution company, presented unrivaled technological standards, drawing intense attention from local medical officials and buyers.

Aidot's flagship lineup, the cervical cancer screening AI system 'Cerviray AI', once again solidified its technological leadership in the global market through this exhibition.

Among the 4 Classifications of cervical cancer diagnosis, Cerviray is the only solution in Korea, backed by Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) approval, that can precisely express and identify atypical 'CIN1 (Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia Grade 1)' lesions—which possess the highest level of technical difficulty and have been notoriously difficult to distinguish using conventional diagnostic methods.

According to medical academia and clinical experts, it has been pointed out that the conventional 'simple sensitivity' metrics, which merely detect the overall presence or absence of abnormal lesions within the cervix, have low discriminative power in actual clinical environments, thereby limiting their value.

This implies that such abnormalities are starkly identifiable even when a physician inspects them directly with the naked eye.

In contrast, Aidot has demonstrated substantial diagnostic efficiency based on precision medical data by obtaining the sole domestic approval for a technology that directly detects the CIN1 lesion itself, which is an early stage capable of developing into cancer.

This serves as a core indicator that sharply widens the gap with latecomer competitor products that have recently emerged in the market.

While some in the industry are attempting to catch up by launching copycat products that mimic the exterior appearance or simple processes of existing leading products, the dominant assessment is that their clinical value in actual medical settings remains negligible, as they fail to match Aidot's advanced technological capability in terms of 'early micro-lesion discriminative power' and the 'deep interpretive utility of the AI algorithm,' which are clinically most vital.

Such technological reliability of Cerviray has already been verified by a state institution.

It secured public credibility both domestically and internationally by being designated as an 'Innovative Medical Device' by the Republic of Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and its value and accuracy have already been successfully validated in Vietnam through numerous Proof of Concept (PoC) cases and clinical applications.

Using the achievements of this exhibition as a stepping stone, Aidot plans to aggressively expand additional partnerships with local medical networks based on a close cooperation system with Gangwon TP and the Gangwon Vietnam Office.

Han-sol Choi, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) overseeing Aidot's technology development, stated, "Unlike conventional AI solutions that merely vaguely guess the presence or absence of a lesion, Cerviray is an unrivaled, approved technology that accurately pinpoints the definitive early lesion known as CIN1." He expressed his ambition, adding, "As local validation data has accumulated in Vietnam backed by the government's Innovative Medical Device designation, we will work with Gangwon TP to expand the medical AI standard beyond Vietnam and throughout the entirety of Southeast Asia."
